Join us for this annual celebration of the holiday season as the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary comes to life in Light! Single Mom Strong is headed to the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary's "Wild Nights & Holiday Lights", where the zoo comes to life in light at night! Get to know other local single moms, while spending quality time with your kids! The event features:- a unique opportunity to see Zoo animals after dark-an enchanted forest of 50 lit trees-thousands of lights all over the Zoo Sanctuary-Santa Claus and the Zoo’s own “Santa Paws”-Rides on the miniatures “Starlight Express” train(additional cost) -Carolers and seasonal refreshments and much more. We will meet at the entry at 5:15 and enter the Zoo as a group promptly at 5:20, so please be on time. You will forfeit your ticket if you have not arrived by 5:25. Please note, while this is an outdoor event, masks are still recommended and a COVID-19 waiver will need to be signed. Statistics shows that children of single mothers suffer in a variety of ways and the mothers often find themselves living in poverty and riddled with guilt or frustration. But, we are here to change the statistics.  We believe that single mothers and their children do not have to be negatively impacted by this circumstance. In fact, being "single-mom-strong: having grit and determination; refusing to fail", is not detrimental at all... Single Mom Strong exists for the empowerment of single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.  Funds raised are used to advance our mission. It is the mission of Single Mom Strong to create a community of single mothers and children in support of one another, while empowering them to be their best selves, through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.
