Looking for a venue for our 2022 wedding

Hello, We are two recently engaged former Humboldt county residents looking to find a venue for our upcoming nuptials. We would like to get married between August-October of 2022. A little about us: After graduating from HSU, we lived in Bayside and worked in conservation for several years. It was easy to fall in love with Humboldt and very hard to leave. We moved to attend grad school and to further our careers in public land management. We both dream of moving back to raise a family as soon as the right opportunity presents itself. Considering there are so many unique spots to tie the knot around the county we never expected to have such a difficult time finding a venue! However here is what we have learned: There are tight guest limits for special use permits in Redwood National Park and the State Parks like Sumeg (roughly 20ish people). We are hoping to find somewhere that can accommodate, at most, 100 guests (although we anticipate attendance being closer to 50-70) so this unfortunately ruled out areas such as wedding rock. Of our friends that remain in the area, none have land that is accessible or near points of interest for our guests (anywhere near Trinidad, Orick, Arcata, Bayside etc would be great). While this isn’t necessarily a deal breaker, having nearby accommodation options is a huge plus. The formal venues offered in the area are mostly booked up and unavailable for the 2022 year (At the Bluff, Fieldbrook winery) And the Lost Whale Inn is just way out of our price range. So here’s what we are looking for: We would LOVE to be able to host a brief ceremony amongst the redwoods, at an overlook, or in a scenic garden. Anything lovely will do. For the reception, we are hoping to find a farm or garden situation where we could set up tables, string lights and a dance floor. We can arrange outside catering, restrooms, etc as needed. Mostly we just need a space to celebrate with our loved ones. Our budget is negotiable and we are willing to offer fair prices for the right venue.
