Looking for an East Bay Drummer

A relatively new development of players seeking out a drummer /percussionist. Bonus points if you can sing lead and/or harmony. Our repertoire is a bit fuzzy and varied as we try different things. We have a guy who is a songwriter and we've been working out some of his stuff which is along the lines of Doo Wop, Oldies with a lot of lyrics in spanish. Chicano Batman might come to mind. Outside of this, we touch on the works of Neil Diamond, The Everly Brother, Lovin' Spoonful, CSNY, Isley Brothers, Nina Simone, and so on...We haven't really touched any Beatles, Stones or Bob Dylan, which is a surprise considering how close so much of what we do is to the form, but I guess that's something to mark in that we don't just roll out with the safe standards that everybody else is on. We are looking for a guy who can hang back and play for the song. Can get snazzy with a pair of Promark Hot Rods or mallets. It's all for fun now, but will definitely roll out for gigs when it feels right.
