Description

My main instrument is trumpet, but I also teach trombone, French horn, baritone, and beginning tuba, clarinet and flute. I am an experienced, patient, and versatile working performer and teacher. I've performed with many Bay Area groups including professional orchestras, jazz ensembles, funk and soul bands, folk music groups, in recording studios and as a soloist. Over the last 35 years I've taught thousands of students in brass, woodwind, band and orchestra classes and in private lessons. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Trumpet Performance and a CA Teaching Credential in Music. I've had students in area and State honor bands and youth orchestras, and several have gone on to be pros themselves. I also teach adult "come back" players and beginners who want to re-connect with music. I can teach both in person and via Zoom.
