James, West Palm Beach City Commissioners, members of the public WHAT: To kick off the City of West Palm Beach's 2021 Holiday in Paradise (HIP), Mayor Keith A. James will lead the lighting ceremony for Sandi Tree, the world's only 35-foot-tall, 700-ton holiday sand tree. This year marks the HIP star's 10th birthday, which she will celebrate along the city's waterfront with her friends to "hang 10" and bring good "tide-ings." Guests of all ages are invited to witness the magic of Sandi's light show and 10th anniversary celebration. The Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting will also include an appearance by Santa Claus, in addition to other family-friendly activities. Country music star Brooke Eden will deliver a live performance. Lauded for her commanding stage presence and brassy, straight-shooting style, this vocal powerhouse has been championed by Billboard as a "fiery country star-in-the-making." Brooke pairs her honest songwriting with punchy tracks from producer Jesse Frasure (who has also worked with big names such as Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Like and Little Big Town) to deliver her most authentic work yet. Sandi's Storytime and Holiday Movies Friday, December 10; 6 – 10 p.m. | FREE All are invited for a fun storytime on the Great Lawn as Sandi narrates how she came to be, followed by a sing-along of 'Frosty the Snowman.' A showing of The Santa Clause 2 (PG) will immediately follow.
