Join the Camping Noire Squad for some crisp air and a moment to relax and unwind out on the trails at our monthly Goddess Hike. Voted one of the best hikes in New Jersey – Wyanokie High Point, with a view of the Wanaque Reservoir, along with Chikahoki Falls, and Otter Hole are the highlights of this moderately challenging 7.5-mile loop. Beginner hikers are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED against registering for this hike and for safety reasons children are not permitted on this hike. So, what are you waiting for? Grab your gal-pals and tie up your favorite hiking boots. We'll see you on the trails! HIKING DIFFICULTY: Moderate to Difficult. Approximately 7.5 miles from start to finish. Beginner hikers are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED against attending this hike; however, if you do choose to attend bail-out trails are available. RESTROOMS. There are no restrooms or comfort stations located along this trail. WHAT TO BRING & WEAR. Please wear comfortable hiking boots and remember to pack: A light sweater or wear layersWaterSnacks and/or lunch (We will take a 30-min lunch break at the 2nd waterfall so please remember to bring lunch)Basic first aid kit (Band-Aids, antiseptic wipes, ibuprofen)Sunglasses & sunscreenA backpack to carry it inPARKING & MEET-UP DETAILS. Parking options and meet-up details will be provided to all registered guests 48 hours prior to the event. However, please note that we will head towards the trail promptly at 9 am, so please plan accordingly. INCLEMENT WEATHER. Updates regarding delays or event cancellations will be provided to registered hikers via email and text. WAIVER REQUIREMENT. All registrants who wish to take part in any activity organized or facilitated by Camping Noire must read and sign our electronic Camping Noire Release Agreement prior to participation. If you do not wish to sign you will not be permitted to attend the hike. This holds true for all attendees, Camping Noire members, guests, and the general public. Camping Noire is a movement!! Born from the book, "Camping Noire: the black girls guide to surviving a weekend unplugged", we are muting the myth that black women don't camp.  Though our focus is camping, we host a series of outdoor events created to inspire women of color to reconnect with mother nature.  We are headquarted in NJ. "Camping Noire" will be on a bookshelf near you in June 2019.
