MASSAPEQUA, NY — Planet Fitness is opening its newest gym in Massapequa next week. The brand is taking over a location in a shopping center on Carmans Road that used to be a different fitness center. To celebrate the grand opening of the new location, located at 923 Carmans Road, Planet Fitness is offering new memberships for $1 down, then $10 per month, or nothing down and $22.99 a month for a PF Black Card, with no commitment until Dec. 31, 2021. A grand opening event will be held on Dec. 8 from 4 to 6 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. Attendees can take part in giveaways and a raffle, with prizes including free one-year Black Card memberships, a prize wheel, 20 percent off Planet Fitness merchandise and much more. Planet Fitness will also donated $1,000 to the Hicksville Youth Council's Boys & Girls Club.
