CHESTNUT HILL, MA — The Street Chestnut Hill has unveiled a festive public art installation titled The Greatest Gifts that gives back to the community. Created by local female artists, Jaimie Varasconi and Kate Bergeron of thecollab, the installation features three oversized gift boxes in playful colors to evoke the excitement of the holiday season. Each gift box is made of wood and topped with a giant shiny bow and extra large gift tag. "We always prioritize creating joyful experiences that bring our community together," said Alana Stein, General Manager of The Street Chestnut Hill, in a statement. "As local artists, Jaimie and Katie deepen that connection while infusing some extra holiday spirit into the property with their spectacular work." To make the unveiling a charitable event, The Street has partnered with FamilyACCESS of Newton, a local nonprofit that provides programs that nurture child development, promote effective parenting skills, and support working parents within racially, economically, and culturally diverse communities. Guests are encouraged to interact with the life-sized gifts, take a photo, and tag @shopthestreet, and for every photo posted, The Street will donate $1 FamilyACCESS of Newton. "Whether shopping, dining or strolling the property, we hope our guests will engage with the gift boxes and find the perfect backdrop for snapshots of their holiday visits to The Street," said Stein. "Most importantly, we are thrilled to be making this experience especially meaningful by once again partnering with FamilyACCESS of Newton, which has been helping local families in need for over 100 years." The Greatest Gifts is located at the Mews, between lululemon and Shake Shack, and will be on display for the rest of the holiday season. For more information, click here.
