College Board Recognizes 49 East Islip Scholars

EAST ISLIP, NY — Numerous East Islip High School students were recognized this week for exceptional achievement on their May 2021 Advanced Placement exams. The East Islip School District announced Monday that 49 students were acknowledged by the College Board for their outstanding performances. AP courses completed with a score of 3 or higher on the final exam may afford students the opportunity to earn college credit. Eight seniors were named were named 2021 AP Scholars with Distinction, including Bill Ahmad, Michael Baldino, Hannah Bohlsen, Jack Bolen, Tiffany Chen, Chiara Mosca, Miranda Stockton and Jake Thompsett. 12 seniors were named 2021 AP Scholars with Honor: Ryan Bauco, Ryan Bayreuther, Zoe Elder, Ashley Flyntz, Allyson Golini, Isabelle Irizarry-McAdam, Liam Kearney, Joy Petersen, Jake Riordan, Toniann Santamaria, Carson Tessitore and Jenna Thompsett. 27 seniors were named 2021 AP Scholars: Morgan Amato, Ameer Bashar, Rachel Beiner, Emily Blair, Gwendolyn Daniello, Robert Delarosa, Brianna Fairbrother, Grace Gerondel, Michael Giannini, Jordyn Harrynarine, Shirley Huang, Wendle Huang, Peter Jacobsen, Luke Kupstas, Emily LaMorte, Daniel Locke, Molly Magnifico, James Mendolia, Haley Mierzejewski, Kristyn Murphy, Samantha Panzella, Nicholas Perone, Amanda Romano, Kuba Sousa, Samantha Tucci, Gianna Viviano and Tobey Weichbrodt. Two juniors, Eamonn Dreyer and Abbey Lacy, were also named 2021 AP Scholars. Additionally, Bill Ahmad, Jack Bolen, Chiara Mosca, Joy Petersen and MirandaStockton earned AP Capstone Diplomas. Rachel Beiner, Jordyn Harrynarine, WendleHuang, Peter Jacobsen, Samantha Panzella, Kamilah Pasha, Kuba Sousa, Carson Tessitore,Samantha Tucci and Gianna Viviano also attained AP seminar and research certificates.
