NORTH BELLMORE, NY — Residents can feel good giving the gift of life this holiday season.
The North Bellmore Public Library will host a blood drive on Dec. 16. The day-long event is scheduled from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted as space allows.
You can call the New York Blood Center to make an appointment at 1-800-933-BLOOD.
Guidelines for donating blood:
People are reminded to eat and drink before giving blood. Bring a donor ID card or other photo ID. All donors must wear facial covering regarding vaccine status. The blood drive is sponsored by Nassau County Legislator Steven Rhoads.
His office says all donors will receive a free pair of festive socks.
