GROTON - A Groton resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in town earlier this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery. On November 23, Hoai Tam Trinh of Groton, purchased a Powerball ticket from the Veterans Convenience in Groton and won $50,000.
