Description
Press release from the Alameda County District Attorney's Office:
Nov 30, 2021
Zelle is a digital payments service that is sometimes set up as part of your bank account. Scammers may attempt to exploit your account by posing as your bank or lending institution.
Proceed with caution if you receive a text, email, or phone call from anyone inquiring about a Zelle transaction, even if it appears to be from your bank. Scammers may pretend to be investigating potential fraud on your account.
If you receive such a message, protect yourself by taking steps to make sure the message is legitimate, such as by contacting your bank directly.
