Old Mill High Student Sexually Assaulted By School Worker: Police

MILLERSVILLE, MD — An Old Mill High School employee accused of sexually assaulting a student was arrested Tuesday, authorities said. Anne Arundel County Police officers identified the suspect as 30-year-old Fulgencio Salomon Jolon of Glen Burnie. Authorities heard of the allegations on Sept. 28. They notified the school board, which banned the Anne Arundel County Public Schools worker from Old Mill pending an investigation. The Anne Arundel County Child Advocacy Center then interviewed the 16-year-old victim. The Old Mill student told the interviewers that Jolon sexually assaulted her on Sept. 27, police said. Officers found additional evidence and interviewed other witnesses. In the end, authorities said they secured an arrest warrant charging Jolon with: Three counts of second-degree assaultFourth-degree sex offenseFourth-degree sex offense involving a person of authority Investigators said they took the accused man into custody without incident on Tuesday evening.
