JOB SUMMARY: ACCESS SERVICES is looking for a passionate and motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Shipping Clerk. The individual is an “A” player willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. They’re customer-focused, selfless, and a true listener. They have excellent inter-personal, communication and organizational skills to successfully execute in a fast-changing, multi-task environment. This individual would be responsible for interaction with drivers, coordination with the warehouses on inbound and outbound loads, and working with their team to ensure domestic and international shipping documents are completed accurately and on time. RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities may be expanded as management deems necessary: · Prepare shipping documents for both domestic and international shipments (BOLs, labels, etc.). · Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure all proper paperwork is given to the drivers. · Assist with the prioritization and management of inbound and outbound shipments. · Responsible for closing containers and taking pictures for international outbound shipments. · Ensure correct labels with descriptions are printed. · Obtain correct information from truck drivers as required. · Perform additional operational/fulfillment tasks that support other departments as needed. · Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain departmental housekeeping standards. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: · 2-3 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a warehouse environment. · A passionate willingness to learn. · Attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills. · Ability to multi-task and efficiently manage time. · A collaborative spirit and selfless work ethic. · Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. · Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including a thorough understanding of Excel. · A working knowledge of Great Plains.
