ORLAND PARK, IL — A Chicago man is facing multiple felonies when officers found a cache of drugs and a loaded Glock inside a vehicle parked at Orland Square Mall, police said. Jabrail Myles, 27, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and four counts of possession of a controlled substance. Myles is also charged with possession of a weapon by a felon.
On Tuesday, Orland Park tactical officers saw a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot. A closer look revealed narcotics laying in plain view, police said. Moments later, two people, one later identified as Myles, returned to the vehicle.
Officers searched Myles, who was a passenger in the vehicle, where they found five clear plastic bags of suspect cocaine, 11 individually packaged pills of suspect ecstasy, and three plastic bags of cannabis, police said. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered 91 oxycodone pills, two ounces of promethazine and .40 caliber Glock handgun, according to the charges.
Police further allege that Myles admitted that the drugs and gun belonged to him. Myles was taken into custody and brought to the Orland Park police station.
Myles appeared Wednesday at the Bridgeview Courthouse, where Cook County Judge Donald Havis issued a $10,000 I-bond.
