JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man classified as a sexual predator by the Illinois State Police's sex offender registry is now in custody at the Will County Jail. Joliet police arrested 44-year-old Michael J. Robinson on Tuesday morning at his residence, 1201 Waverly Place. Robinson was charged with failure to register as a sex offender. He was also incarcerated in the Will County Jail from Oct. 30, 2019 until Aug. 21, 2020 for a similar criminal offense. According to state police records, Robinson has four convictions out of DuPage County for predatory criminal sexual assault. Robinson was 23 years old, and his victim was 6 years old.
