Press release from Columbus Chamber of Commerce: December 1, 2021 Jeff Ortega has joined VS Engineering as Ohio Business Development & Government Affairs Manager based in Columbus. In his new role, Jeff will be responsible for helping grow VS's work portfolio in Ohio in roadwork and water and sewer projects and site work on "vertical" projects. Jeff comes to this role from nearly seven years at Columbus City Hall, the last three of which he was Assistant Director of the Columbus Department of Public Utilities, where he coordinated the environmental initiatives of the administration of Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. Jeff has also served as the top media spokesman and government affairs official for the Columbus Department of Public Service, which has jurisdiction over road construction and maintenance, as well as a top communications strategist and speechwriter for Ginther when he was the City Council President.
