BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A manhunt was underway Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, where at least one suspect allegedly attempted to run down an officer before abandoning the car and fleeing on foot. Police established a perimeter and were searching the area around Linden Drive and Wilshire Boulevard at about 9 p.m. "Police are actively searching for suspects in the area of Wilshire and Linden," the Beverly Hills Police Department said in a written release. "We are asking residents to please stay inside their homes while we search the area." KCAL9 first reported that a Beverly Hills Police Department officer attempted to pull over a driver, who, instead, attempted to run over the officer. After a short pursuit, at least one suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Police did not immediately say what led the officer to pull over the driver.
