Press release from the City of Alameda: November 30, 2021 Staff from the Alameda Food Bank, Alameda Head Start, WCDC, Alameda Point Collaborative and Alameda Housing Authority sites are currently signing up their families. We were able to served 800+ children and youth last year, but more than 1,000 are already signed up this year. We expect that number to grow to 1,500 meaning we need to raise over $50,000 to meet our goal. , , Thanks to their generosity, we are well on our way to assuring that 1,500 Alameda children will have holiday toys and gifts. But we haven't nearly reached the amount needed for this year. We appreciate the extensive support we have received from the Alameda community in past years; this year we need it more than ever.
