TUCSON, AZ — Tucsonans can now get vaccinated at Tucson Convention Center, thanks to a partnership between the city and Pima County. The free vaccine clinic is in the east lobby of the convention center, at 260 S. Church Ave. It will be open in an ongoing basis from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m, Monday through Saturday with free parking in the Lot A garage, accessible from Church Avenue, according to a news release. Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available to adults seeking a first, second or booster dose. Pfizer shots are available for ages 5 through 18. No appointments are necessary. Shots will be provided on a walk-in basis. Those looking to get their second or booster doses are strongly encouraged to bring their vaccination cards. "As we enter the holiday season, it's more important than ever for everyone to keep themselves and their families safe," Dr. Theresa Cullen, Pima County Health Department director said in the news release. "The single best way to do that is to get vaccinated." Tucsonans can pick up free COVID-19 testing kits at local libraries.
