We are a mobility device manufacturing and repair business in Crofton, Maryland seeking a contractor to help with miscellaneous tasks around the shop. This person will quickly transition to a role in repairing and building new scooters, using basic mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn. Pay: $17/hr paid via your preference of PayPal or check. Hours: As a contractor, it is your right to choose when you want to work, but work will be offered on a day-to-day basis as needed, typically the day prior. At the time the work is offered to you, it is your decision to accept or decline. The broad time frame in which work should be *within is between 8am and 6pm on an average day. Location: Crofton, MD. Contractor must have their own reliable transportation. Examples of work tasks: - Assemble storage racks and other office furniture (we are moving in now) - Mechanical maintenance of mobility scooter devices (learn on the job) - Assembly and disassembly of simple scooter devices (learn on the job) - Sanding/finishing/cleaning metal parts as part of fabrication process - Lifting of heavy items (at least 50lb) may be necessary This is a 1099 contractor position, which has the potential to convert into a full time position depending on compatibility.
