Press release from Jefferson State Community College: November 30, 2021 Jefferson State Automotive Manufacturing Student Keshavkumar D. Ray has been awarded an Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) scholarship to pursue a technical education certificate or associate degree. The AAMA and Alabama Community College System (ACCS) have partnered to provide scholarships, as well as mentors, to students who want to pursue a technical education certificate or associate degree in the automotive  manufacturing industry. The scholarship program  was designed  to build interest in the exciting and  rewarding careers the automotive industry offers. The scholarship covers up to $3,600 ($1,800 for two semesters within the current fiscal year, Spring, Summer, or Fall 2022) of tuition, fees, and books associated with the approved programs of study listed above. The AAMA is an organization dedicated to furthering the Automotive Manufacturing Industry in Alabama and supporting association members in their growth and participation as an important part of that industry. Boasting major original equipment manufacturers such as Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes, Toyota Engine, Navistar, and Mazda Toyota, Alabama is on its way to becoming one of the nation's leaders in automotive manufacturing. AAMA not only supports industry through direct engagement with state entities to tackle important issues such as workforce development, but it also creates a bridge between lesser known suppliers, service providers and larger manufacturers.             This press release was produced by the Jefferson State Community College.
