TROY, AL — Several Birmingham-area students were named as "The 87" honorees at Troy University recently, including a Hoover resident. The 87, formerly Who's Who, recognizes juniors, seniors and graduate students who have excelled in campus leadership and in their academic area. Local students named to The 87 include: Devontey Anderson of IrondaleJohn Atkins of BirminghamCaroline Duffee of HooverBrittany Hampton of TrussvilleHaylee Jemison of Vestavia Hills Duffee recently was named to the Chancellor's List at Troy as well.
