The warnings are clear and the Denier Choir is ramping up the propaganda and disinformation. Why do they want more dead? I don’t get it. The indicators are that the Omicron variant is much more transmissible than the previous forms, and therefore more serious. The ability to infect cells is greatly enhanced by the changes in the “spikes” that allow it to attach to cells. It takes less quantity of inhaled virus to infect because it has learned how to cling to the cells before being rejected by antibodies. There is further evidence that human genetics plays a significant part in determining who is more susceptible to infection and much more serious symptoms, beyond the simple issues of comorbidity with obesity, diabetes and respiratory problems. The implications are specific humans are more readily genetically predisposed for the virus to attack them and their own immune response actually causes much of their complications.
