Description
Project MAP is a National Science Foundation funded project where researchers from the University of Oregon are using neuroimaging to look for patterns of brain development associated with math learning.
We are currently seeking first grade students who are interested in participating in this exciting study. Thus far, approximately 175 first grade students have participated in Project MAP and we are planning to have over 200 students participate in all.
Project MAP staff will work with parents to schedule neuroimaging and math testing sessions at the University of Oregon. Students and their families will receive $200 for completing all research activities in the first wave of sessions and $250 for the follow up sessions.
Parental/guardian consent (including risks and benefits, and confidentiality of data) and student assent will be discussed and obtained at the time of the appointment.
