Food Packers Needed | Help Feed Housing Insecure Children

We are in desperate need of food packers on Tuesday and Thursday mornings! You will help pack bags of food that go right to kids suffering from homelessness or housing insecurity in King County. Backpack Brigade is a small 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014, whose sole mission is to end weekend hunger in Washington State. By delivering bags of food to schools, we feed over 2,500 kids per week to help them make it from Friday lunch to Monday breakfast. Make an impact in your community today! On Tuesday, volunteers arrive between 8:00 am and 9:30 am. Packing a table typically takes about an hour and a half. On Thursdays, delivery days, we need you here at 8:00 sharp to make sure we get the bags finished before drivers arrive to take them. We serve schools in Renton, Laurelhurst, Bellevue, and everywhere in between. Our warehouse is located near Showbox Sodo, Filson, and Krispy Kreme on 1st Avenue South Seattle. Please consider becoming a weekly packer for Backpack Brigade. With recent expansions into new districts, we are at our limit and don’t have the heart to turn anyone away.
