looking for a family dog

Hello, we are looking to find us a family dog, to love and care for. Needs to be good with small dog's and cat and children. would like to find one about knee high or just a little bigger. Prefer female in the house, as our little male dog, doesn't like other male dog's. we live in the country on 2 1/2 acres and a partial fenced in yard for it to run and play. would like to find one close to us if possible.
