HELP WANTED Facility & Equine Caretaker responsible for equine care, upkeep, and maintenance at Haku Baldwin Center in Makawao. This position requires working independently, confidence working with horses of all temperaments, and must be proactive. Experience with natural horsemanship a plus. Daily Responsibilities Include: - Responsible for the feeding, watering, and turnout of horses. - Clean stalls, barns, and facility areas. - Keep the barn area clean and organized, and make AM/PM feed buckets. - Responsible for checking horses’ overall body condition, applying fly spray, fly masks, picking hooves. - Be able to doctor horses, care for wounds, and administer medicine as prescribed. - Be able to utilize TimeStation, communications log, and chores list to manage daily duties. - Provide exceptional customer service to boarders, program participants, and visitors. - Must be courteous and professional at all times. - Work with minimal supervision and take directions from a supervisor. - Be able to maintain a safe and clean work environment. - Be able to demonstrate good, sound judgment. - Be able to lift 65 lbs and work long hours. - Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
