Now in its 25th year, the Hilliard Arts Council is proud to be producing Charles Dicken’s holiday classic, A Christmas Carol! Hilliard Arts Council Presents Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol Hilliard, OH – Now in its 25th year, the Hilliard Arts Council is proud to be producing Charles Dicken’s holiday classic, A Christmas Carol at the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center on December 10 at 7pm and again on December 11 at 11am, 2pm and 7pm. Adapted from the beloved classic story by Charles Dickens, this multi-generational production is the Hilliard Arts Council’s annual charity event with all proceeds going to Hilliard Food Pantry and Firefighters for Kids. Instead of purchasing a ticket, simply bring either 5 or more non perishable food items OR 1 or more new unwrapped toys OR make a minimum $5 monetary donation per family. “The cast is intergenerational and repeat audience members will notice many familiar faces as many of the cast come back year after year excited to be part of this little bit of Hilliard holiday magic”, said DJ Williams the show director as well as a cast member playing the part of Mr. Fezziwig. “From the period costumes to our exuberant chorus of children villagers, audiences seem to take great delight in our retelling of this age-old tale. This is a true family event and with a 1 hour runtime it’s a great early theatre experience for young children”. “Our annual production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is one of our most long standing and treasured traditions”, said Robin Brenneman, Artistic Director of the Hilliard Arts Council. “The best part of it for me is that it gives us a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community by providing food, toys and needed funding to help the less fortunate in the Hilliard area”. As an added treat for each performance, local community leaders will serve as special guest narrators with each production. Additionally, prior to the 2pm performance on Saturday, December 11 there will be the annual holiday concert by the Hilliard Youth Chorus at 1pm.. For the safety of all, audience members 12 and up must show a COVID vaccination record or a negative COViD test result (less than 72 hours old) to enter the performance venue and all are required to wear a mask at all times while in the facility.
