Description

Experience a transformational event where we will gather in community and dive into a yoga practice followed by a crystal alchemy sound bath Join Darren Obong and Veesta Vafadari for our monthly community event. We will utilize the energetic gateway of the 12/12 portal and the healing modalities of yoga and sound healing to bring our physical, emotional, and energetic bodies back into a state of balance. This event will include a yoga practice, breath work, guided meditation, and a crystal alchemy sound bath. Please bring: yoga mat, water, blanket, pillows, and anything else you may need to allow yourself to find comfort during this experience. Note: when laying down for a sound healing the temperature can be incredibly cold, so we highly recommend bringing socks, blankets, and/or jackets. Darren Obong Darren is a yoga teacher, meditation guide, sound alchemist, and photographer. A yoga practice formed during a dark night of the soul brought Darren to practice and teach yoga. He has gone through extensive training on various yoga therapeutics, meditation, breath work, dynamic vinyasa, pre-natal yoga, trauma informed yoga, sound healing, tea ceremonies, and functional movement + mobility. Curating classes, meditations, and holding sacred space is a form of art that Darren is passionate about sharing. darrenobong.com | @darrenobong Veesta Vafadari Veesta has been practicing yoga since she first stepped into a studio at 14 years old with her big sister. She didn’t realize how valuable this practice would be to her life. She was not athletic, felt uncoordinated, and struggled to hold downward dog for five full breaths, but attended class twice a week anyways. In college, having observed friends’ struggle with the mind-body connection and general health, she realized how in tune she was with her body thanks to her yoga practice. She completed her 200hr yoga teaching certification with Ra Yoga. This achievement changed her life forever and for the best. Prior to teaching yoga, Veesta obtained her Master’s in Social Work from CSUF and worked as a medical social worker, advocating primarily for older adults. Veesta believes in curating a yoga space of empowerment and respect for ALL individuals. She encourages movement that is intuitive and promotes a sense of strength within each individual. veestav.wixsite.com/yoga | @veestasana Darren is a yoga teacher, meditation guide, sound alchemist, and photographer.
