Hi, I'm Kay! I am a professional animal caretaker with 8+ years of paid experience. I just recently moved to the Winston-Salem area in order to care for horses at a local boarding facility. Most recently before coming here, my partner and I were the main animal caretakers at a sanctuary in WNC. I am currently looking for some new local clients in need of animal/house sitting services. I am a HUGE animal lover. Along with my professional background, I've also cohabitated with and personally cared for dozens of animals throughout my lifetime. Some animals I've worked closely with include: dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, frogs, goats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, horses, donkeys, sheep, snails, and llamas. While I love ALL animals, I definitely have a special little place in my heart for cats and chickens! I am a fast learner and a competent person, so I am confident that with a little guidance, I could appropriately care for pretty much any species! I would love to get more hands-on experience with fish, bunnies, animals with disabilities, and any type of reptile. I plan to have my own animal sanctuary one day, so am always looking to expand on my animal knowledge. ❤ I have a fully-enclosed double pet stroller, as well as a backpack for walking my kitties, and I would be happy to share these with your pets if that's something that would suit their needs! While I am not a professional cat trainer, I have taught my own two to walk on leashes, so I would be open to working with your felines if that's something that you feel could enrich their lives. Not all cats find it enjoyable! My schedule is very open. I am available to do over-nights in your home when needed. I can walk, play, clean litter boxes, change diapers, bathe, clean cages, administer medication, and/or just provide company for your non-human pals. I understand that animals are individuals with different requirements and quirks. I am flexible, and can work with the specific needs of your companion animal.
