What can data tell us about how the pandemic has affected people over the last two years, and what does it fail to capture?
As we try to understand the impact of the pandemic on our community, we know that data can be both informative and limiting. The pandemic threw a wrench into many traditional methods of data collection, and as a result, the year 2020 will have an asterisk next to it for years it come. We're curious: what can data tell us about how the pandemic has affected people over the last two years, what does it fail to capture, and what questions should we ask moving forward?
The Greater Louisville Project's quarterly Civic Data Meet & Greets are a great way for data aficionados to hear about the data collection and analysis efforts underway throughout our community. Our purpose in gathering is to explore ways to work for justice, collaborate, and share information.
Our final event of the year will be at West Sixth in Nulu Marketplace. We would love to see everyone's faces, but we recognize that not everyone is comfortable gathering in person. As such, we will offer a chance to join virtually as well.
The Greater Louisville Project is an independent, non-partisan civic initiative providing data to engage the community in a shared agenda for long-term progress.
