Meet Benji – 2½ year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Friendly Good in a Home w/ Other Dogs House-Trained: Yes Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered. Benji is a Border-Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, 2½ years old - and he is just the sweetest boy you will ever meet. We’ve been taking care of him for our neighbors (three older ladies) because they can no longer take care of him due to personal health reasons. As I understand it, Benji lived on property with a guy at one point, which is why he loves sitting in a truck bed, as well as in the cab... Ideally suited for someone either with property or a fenced in yard so he can roam free to do his thing. He does really well on his leash, responds to vocal commands, knows how to shake & sit, and LOVES playing with other pups. Only kicker is that his hind-leg (left) tenses up after too much physical activity, which he takes inflammation medicine for daily, and is really inexpensive to purchase over the counter. We’ve got all his medical records (available upon adoption), and besides that, he’s a perfectly healthy & happy dog. He’s gonna make somebody’s family really happy, that’s for sure. We're gonna miss him a lot when he finds his new home. We'll be taking care of him while we screen potential owners to see if they’re a good fit for him or not.
