Description
Need help repairing my speed sensor on my 2014 Audi Q7.
I have some hard steering on my vehicle due to a speed sensor cable that may be partially impaired on my 2014 Audi Q7 TDI. We need the Power Steering Fluid checked and possibly drained with a turkey baster. Replacement Power Steering Fluid is Swepco 715 OR Pentosin.
The speed sensor is mounted where the steering rod connects to the rack rubbing against the suspension. I believe the sensor cable's black water proof plastic came off it's clips and is rubbing on the drive shaft. This may have worn down the cable protection and chopped off one of the sensor cables. Thus my speed sensor is impaired which has impaired the signal to the my power steering fluid pump causing hard steering.
We need to repair and reconnect the sensor cables with electrical tape and add a bigger black sleeve for more protection and to prevent water damage. We need to finish by re-routing the sensor cable to prevent it rubbing on any moving parts.
PLEASE TEXT ME WITH YOUR MECHANICAL EXPERIENCE.
We would like this repair to be done first thing in the morning on Thursday morning at Kings Beach. It shouldn't take long, only about an hour. Please bring the spec Power Steering Fluid as well.
Offering $75 Total since it's such an easy job.
