Description

Join us at Zona Rosa San Jose (The Alameda) for a Holiday Pop Up Shopping • Vintage Treasures • Delicious Food & Drinks There are always reasons to celebrate, even in our most difficult moments, we must reach within us and be grateful for the good  things we’ve had, and experienced and the good people in our lives.  These last 2 months and the beginning of the new year, are referred to as  “The Holidays,” and yes, there are many fall and winter celebrations, including Christmas. This special holiday is observed by people all over the world, but the way in which it is celebrated may take different forms depending on the country and region, religion, etc. Even here in the U.S. because we are so diverse, there are a multitude of ways in which people may celebrate it; some may be due to cultural or religious differences, and some are family traditions that are developed over the years. One tradition in Mexico is Las Posadas. This is a prolonged, prequel to Christmas or Navidad, and it is celebrated primarily in Latin America, and by Latinx living in the United States. It involves prayers, songs, piñata-breaking, music, and of course, food! Tamales are a traditional meal during the posadas and every night can be a feast. Well, although it is a little early in the month, we want to give you a taste of a Posada at our pop-up event at the Zona Rosa reataurant on December 4. We are coming back with a load of gorgeous French and other European antiques and vintage treasures, as well as our candles in a bowl, charcuterie boards, and many other gift items. We will also have a special piñata for you, and a tamal sample. Will you join us to start the holiday reverly?
