The Tennessee Conference on Volunteerism and Service-Learning aims to increase service and volunteerism across Tennessee. The Tennessee Conference on Volunteerism and Service-Learning aims to increase service and volunteerism across Tennessee. The conference encourages collaboration between service leaders and participants to address needs in Tennessee while utilizing service and service-learning as a vehicle of change. Our main audiences for the conference are all service leaders across Tennessee, including but not limited to: Non-Profit and Volunteer Management professionals National Service Programs Service-Learning Practitioners and Students Government Leaders Corporate Citizenship Professionals The 2022 conference will also include: A Higher Education Faculty Track in partnership with the Tennessee Service-Learning Consortium (TN-SLC). A Student Track on February 13 & 14 for youth to engage in conversations on volunteerism, service-learning, and community engagement.  A Corporate Social Responsibility Track on February 14 from 8:30-4:00 for companies interested in community outreach, employee volunteerism, and other ways to make an impact and improve social wellbeing. Corporate Social Responsibility Track (Monday Only) registration includes panel sessions featuring CSR professionals, breakfast and lunch, plenary speakers, networking opportunities, and a certificate of attendance for participants. Registration: Registration is $150 for adults and $75 for youth, AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Senior volunteers. Conference registration includes entry to workshops, showcases and exhibits, plenary speakers, a service project, and designated meals.   FAQsIs there an age limit to attend the conference? There is no age limit to attend the conference - in fact, we encourage people of all ages to attend, including youth participants. The Student Track on Sunday and Monday will provide a space for Tennessee students to engage in conversations on volunteerism, service-learning, and community engagement.  Where can I stay while attending the conference? Volunteer Tennessee has reserved a hotel room block at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, where the conference is being held.  Rooms are available at the Tennessee state rate of $128/night.  Availability is limited, please book by February 4, 2022  to secure the state rate. Click here to reserve a room.  What are my parking options at the conference? The Franklin Marriott Cool Springs has free parking for all conference participants in a surface lot.  The conference center has a separate entrance, but is also connected to the hotel, so you may reach our conference through either of these entrances from the parking lot. Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event? No.  Volunteer Tennessee will have a list of registered attendees at the registration area. How do I pay by check or purchase order? Unfortunately, all registrations and payments are final for the conference.  Volunteer Tennessee will not be able to issue a refund if you are unable to attend for any reason, including inclement weather. Volunteer Tennessee is the Governor's commission on national and community service.  Our 25 member, bi-partisan board is appointed by the Governor to encourage volunteerism and community service in Tennessee.
