Help us clean up Arena Green in anticipation of the "Winter on the Green" Community Event! Please note that this sign up is for attendance of the volunteer event in preparation for "Winter on the Green" and is not a sign up for "Winter on the Green" itself. Winter on the Green is free to attend and you do not need to sign up to attend the events on Saturday and Sunday. Minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old. Chaperones are required for individuals age 10-15. Join the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy and the City of San Jose Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services in our preparations for the "Winter on the Green" event! We will be sprucing up Arena Green by removing litter and graffiti, as well as other tasks as necessary. Limited tickets are available to keep us working safely at this time as well as to help us abide by County Public Health Recommendations. We know you are eager to help the Park, please join us as we practice safe measures of volunteerism. We will be adhering to State and County Public Health Recommendations and guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, please note that: Volunteers must abide by rules mentioned in the pre-cleanup safety talkRestrooms will not be available for useVolunteers are asked to arrive by 8:45 AM for a contactless sign-in, workday instructions will follow. Please arrive on time as the safety discussion will start promptly at 9:00 AM. We will be providing necessary tools for cleanup and disposable gloves. The workday will begin at 9:00 AM running through 11:00 AM. School groups or corporate teams must contact the volunteer coordinator to schedule events. We will be meeting in front of the Carousel in Arena Green to distribute supplies and to go over safety rules for event participation. The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy is a non-profit partner of the City of San Jose. The GRPC provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship.
