General Job Description: The Bellingham Golf & Country Club, established in 1912, is a private facility offering the ultimate experience in golf, dining, swimming and relaxation. The Club has become an integral part of the Bellingham community and exists strictly for the purpose of providing enjoyment for our membership. Located near the heart of Bellingham, the Club represents a strong cross-section of the community with golf and social memberships. This position maintains the cleanliness of the Club’s clubhouse. This person performs preventive maintenance on the facility itself and equipment within the facility. We are looking for the perfect, self-directed individual who cares about the general functionality and aesthetics of the Club, inside and out. Role and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): • General custodial duties, including cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming the clubhouse, carpet cleaning, window washing, etc. • Cleaning up trash outside of the building • Collaborating with the General Manager (GM) and others at the property to identify, plan and schedule upkeep and improvements • Work schedule is 5:00am- 10:00am 5 days/week NOTE: Other duties can be assigned by supervisor or management Qualifications, Education and/or Experience: • Prior working experience in janitorial work • High School diploma or equivalency • Ability to work with minimal supervision • “Can do” attitude, willingness to contribute to team success • Outstanding communication and organizational skills with experience/willingness for providing timely progress updates • Available as business levels dictate (nights/weekends/holidays) • Flexibility to adjust your schedule to meet the needs of the business Qualifications, Education and/or Experience: • Prior working experience in janitorial work • High School diploma or equivalency • Ability to work with minimal supervision • “Can do” attitude, willingness to contribute to team success • Outstanding communication and organizational skills with experience/willingness for providing timely progress updates • Available as business levels dictate (nights/weekends/holidays) • Flexibility to adjust your schedule to meet the needs of the business WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
