Yoga for a Healthy Back
Come out to this workshop to learn breaths, good spinal alignment, postures, and relaxation to develop a healthy back. The content of this workshop will improve strength, flexibility, agility, and assist the individual in becoming more functional. It is designed to educate the individual to incorporate what is learned into daily life for a healthy back. All participants will need to bring their own mats and yoga blocks if desired.
This is a 2-part workshop that will be hosted on Tuesday February 1st and February 8th from12-1pm.
Instructor bio
Karen Gordon earned her Master’s degree in Exercise Science, is a certified Medical Exercise Specialist, and a certified Health Coach by the American Council on Exercise. She was trained to teach Yoga at YogaFit and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Since then, she has been teaching yoga in hospitals, community centers, and for The Cooperative Extension in Nevada for more than 15 years. Currently, Gordon teaches yoga at The Cedar City Senior Center and teaches yoga at Spirit Wellness.
