TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury Select Board is holding a public hearing Tuesday to discuss Fiscal Year 2022 tax rates. The board must determine the share of the local property tax levy paid by residential property owners versus the four other property classes, including commercial property. In 2020, the board voted for a 1.56 commercial tax shift, meaning commercial property owners were asked to pay 156 percent of what they would if there was a uniform rate in 2021.
