Press release from the City of Wauwatosa: 11/29/2021 6:00 AM Committees will discuss removing parking to add bike lanes on N. 68th Street between Honey Creek Parkway and Wisconsin Avenue Topics this week during city meetings include: Government Affairs (November 30, 6:30 pm) will talk about: an update on the City Administrator's 2021 initiative on internal control and management a request by the Committee for Citizens with Disabilities for consideration of an ordinance defining duties and responsibilities of the Citizens with Disabilities Commission an ordinance allowing the Common Council, standing committees and other city boards and commissions to hold electronic meetings Transportation Affairs (November 30, 7:15 pm) will discuss an ordinance removing parking to add bike lanes on N. 68th Street between Honey Creek Parkway and Wisconsin Avenue Financial Affairs (November 30, 7:30 pm) will discuss: a contract with EPIC Communications for January to October 2022 for vaccine communications campaign in the amount of $80,000 consideration of request for American Rescue Plan Act funds to be used for school-based COVID testing approval of professional services agreement with Brown and Caldwell for a city wide stormwater management plan request by Human Resources Director and Police Chief to utilize reserve for contingencies for temporary hiring incentives to fill Police Officer vacancies issuance of a $935,000 short term general obligation loan with Associated Bank for the purpose of cash financing capital projects Highlands decorate street light special assessment Community Development Block Grant Committee (December 1, 6 pm) will have a public hearing on the goals and objectives of proposed 2022 community funding priorities for CDBG projects. Meeting Format The Common Council passed a resolution to have hybrid city meetings. This means that the elected officials and public may attend in person or virtually, under a few conditions: universal mask use, physical distancing, staying home if sick, and a virtual option for high-risk individuals.
