Who We Are. Child Advocates of Silicon Valley is a nonprofit organization that serves children aged birth to 21 years old who are placed in the Santa Clara County foster care system for having experienced abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. What YOU can do. By volunteering, you can help us provide these children with the nurturing support and resources needed to thrive. Why we do it. All children need someone to be their mentor, advocate, and voice. YOU can be that someone for a foster child in Silicon Valley. Important Information You must be 21 years old or older to volunteer; a background check is required. Bi-lingual speaking volunteers needed, Spanish preferred.
