Description
EAST ISLIP, NY — East Islip High School students are helping girls in need.
The school's french club raised more than $600 for She's The First Foundation, which sponsors education for girls in Third World countries. The club earned the funds through their 9th annual tie-dye bake sale, selling tie-dyed bracelets and cupcakes — and surpassed their goal of $400.
"My thanks to the club's officers, the staff and the generous students of East Islip forsupporting our cause," said Lauren Pinka, french club adviser.
