SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Police are searching for a mother and daughter who have been reported missing in Silver Spring. Sandy Barrientos, 29, and her daughter Ziona Amaya, 1, were last seen on Nov. 28 at their home on Plymouth Street. Barrientos was pushing Ziona in a a red car-style stroller when they were last seen. Police did not say who reported them missing. Ziona has brown eyes and brown hair. She was wearing a pink jacket, green pants, pink sneakers and a pink hat when she was seen. Barrientos is 5-foot-3-inches tall and has brown eyes and black hair. Barrientos was wearing a long gray peacoat, black pants, white and green sneakers and a pink knit hat. Police are asking anyone with information to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line) or the SVID at 240-773-5400.
