Here are the top stories in Salt Lake City today: A Salt Lake man accused of sexually assaulting three young girls who sneaked out of a house during a sleepover now faces numerous criminal charges. Azeem Sardar, 25, was charged yesterday in 3rd District Court with three counts of rape of a child among other counts. Prosecutors have requested Sardar be held in the Salt Lake County Jail without bail pending trial. (KSL.com) Animal control was able to save three kittens from a storm drain in the middle of a rainstorm recently. An animal control officer climbed into the drain to save them and they were nursed back to health with the help of the Salt Lake City chapter of Best Friends, a no-kill shelter. All the kittens have since been adopted and are thriving! (fox13now.com) A motorist arrested in a Nye County crash that took the lives of two children and an adult Sunday has been identified as Christos Vrachnos, 45, of Salt Lake City. Vrachnos' vehicle slammed into two vehicles on the opposite side of the road before crashing into a van killing a man and two children.
