NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — This December, the New Brunswick Free Public Library will host a series of events in celebration of the upcoming launch of the James Webb space telescope. At 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 8, there will be a Telescope Night presented by Pearl Observatory. Participants will view craters on the moon, Jupiter and its clouds and Saturn and its rings. This program is for all ages. (Rain/cloud date will be December 9 or 10.) You have to register for this event; registration may already be full: tinyurl.com/TelescopeNB Space Week will take place December 13-16 with live-stream events presented by the Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium. These events can be viewed at the library or from home. Here is the schedule of events: Wednesday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m.: Telescope Night (for all ages)Monday, December 13 at 4:00 p.m.: Magic Tree House Space Mission (for grades K-4)Tuesday, December 14 at 6:00 p.m.: To the Moon and Back (for PreK-grade 2)Wednesday, December 15 at 6:00 p.m.: Our Solar System (for all ages)Thursday, December 16 at 4:00 p.m.: Tonight's Sky (for all ages)Saturday, December 18 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Launch Day (for all ages) tinyurl.com/LaunchNB Register for any or all of these events at: tinyurl.com/SpaceWeekNB The December 13 & 14 programs are for children; the December 15 & 16 programs are for all ages.
