The Salvation Army in Foley is in need of Bell Ringers/ Kettle Workers! Please read full job post To apply for this position you will need to go to 2015 N. McKenzie Avenue, Foley, AL 36535. They are not open on Mondays. Pay rate: $9 an hour. The funds raised in these red kettles help support the mission of The Salvation Army to meet the needs of our communities, weather that be through a warm meal, a safe place to rest, gifts for children at Christmas time, or even recovery from alcohol or drug addiction. The work you do today will help us help thousands of people this year! As you ring, you will be representing The Salvation Army, so there are a couple of things that we would like for you to keep in mind: Adhere to the rules of the store managers. We are grateful that the stores allow us to solicit during this season, so please follow their rules and instructions. Wear the provided apron that signifies that you are an official bell ringer, and make sure you are ringing the bell. No smoking while standing at the kettle or wearing The Salvation Army apparel. We do not ask people to donate, we’re only there to allow people the opportunity to give. Greet people and enjoy your time – people are more inclined to give if they see that you are enjoying what you are doing. The kettle stand and equipment should be in the breezeway of the store when you arrive. The kettle will be picked up at the end of the day and the stand should be replaced. Leave the kettle locked to the stand when you need to take a break. Don’t touch the money. This helps the donor know that their donation is locked in the kettle and prevents anyone from questioning you. Schedule: Time starts at 10:00am Pick up by 8:00pm (will start picking up by 7:30pm so please don’t take breaks after that time) Have a total of one hour off for meal breaks during the day.
