SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Firefighters rescued a woman who fell at Grayhound Rock Monday near Swanton. The woman is in stable condition, Cal Fire said. Crews have rescued a woman who fell roughly 100 feet at Grayhound Rock in Santa Cruz County. She is in stable condition. Officials with Cal Fire, Stanford Life Flight, California State Parks and the Santa Cruz Fire Department participated in her rescue. Just months earlier, the U.S. Coast Guard rescued a man who became stranded on Greyhound Rock after he walked out at low tide and got stuck. A helicopter hoisted him to safety in the dark.
