The mandate will also apply to all future city employees. (City News Service)A federal appeals court has granted a request from a 16-year-old Scripps Ranch High School student and her parents who sued to block the San Diego Unified School District's COVID-19 vaccine mandate, one day before students were required to get their first dose. (City News Service)San Diego County public health officials reported 401 new COVID-19 infections and 10 deaths in it latest data, as the state prepares for the Omicron variant. The Omicron variant has now been detected in Canada after first being identified in South Africa and then in Europe. (City News Service)San Diego residents can participate in the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive by donating to Toys for Tots. Residents interested in donating can either do it online by purchasing a toy or in-person by visiting any Disney store in the country.
