LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Office is searching for two men accused of attacking a 42-year-old man and stealing his car.
Police say the man was headed to work at about 6:10 a.m. on Saturday when the vehicular hijacking occurred. Shortly after he parked his 2019 Kia Forte in the parking lot of the business in the 14500 block of West Rockland Road in Green Oaks, two men quickly approached him.

Police say following the attack, one of the men then got into his car and drove away. The other man fled and likely got away in a different vehicle, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
The man who was attacked was treated at the scene by paramedics but was not taken to the hospital.
The men are described as African American males in their 20s. Both were wearing black hooded sweatshirts, according to police. The 2019 Kia Forte has a license plate number of BU47018.
